Hi, My name is Neva and I’ve been in the Antique Doll Business for over fifteen years. I apprenticed through Mary Watts,Hello Dolly San Jose ,for six years. Mary was an extremely talented doll artist. She could do anything from making custom doll pieces , to repairing any type of antique doll. Working with Mary I learned the arts of re-stringing, and of working on composition dolls, but my favorite thing to do was, not doll repair, but buying and selling all types of vintage and antique dolls, and doll accessories. Each doll is a unique part of our human history, and nothing excites me more as to see a doll I’ve never seen before. Every house that had a girl, had some type of doll. They were used to teach, and to nurture. They were loved, played with, and cared for. Many a mother and grandmother sewed not only dolls, but clothing as well. I find it extremely sad that not one toy company exists in America Today. In the early 1900’s there were literally hundreds of toy companies. So I do my part to try and keep vintage and antique dolls and doll accessories available to the public. I hope you enjoy my store. In the next year or two I will uploads hundreds and hundreds of dolls, and accessories that were once in our San Jose store.
